Gary S. Kirman, O.D.
The son of Dr. Shahane and Janet Kirman, Gary was born and raised in Hummelstown, PA. Sharing his father’s interest in optometry, Gary earned a B.S. in Biology at Lafayette College (1982) and received his doctorate from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (1986). During his studies, Gary broadened his knowledge of optometry by participating in numerous optometric externships. Gary also trained in several subspecialties of optometry including the treatment and management of eye disease, low vision, and pediatric vision.
In 1986 Dr. Gary Kirman joined his father as a partner at Kirman Eye where he specializes in contact lens fitting and Low Vision evaluations. He has served through the chairs of the central Pennsylvania optometric society. He was awarded optometrist of the year from the central Pennsylvania optometric society. He was also the first optometrist to receive the "Young Optometrist of the year award" from the Pennsylvania optometric association.
Dr. Kirman was a member of two mission teams that provided eye care to the people of Dominica and Belize. Dr. Kirman helped the teams deliver needed routine eye care, post operative eye care, treatment of eye disease, and dispensing of spectacles to the people in these two countries.
Outside of the office, Dr. Kirman spends time with his wife Jodi, and their four children, Philip, Joshua, Nathanael, and Olivia. He enjoys boating, water skiing, hunting, snow skiing, and is an active member of his church.
Stephen D. Baer, O.D.
Stephen Baer attended Juniata College where he earned a B.S. in Pre-Medicine/Biology (1991). He went on to earn his O.D. at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (1995).
Dr. Baer joined Kirman Eye in 1995, where he specializes in primary eye care, contact lenses, and ocular diseases. He has been very active in organized optometry and served as the President of the Central Pennsylvania Optometric Society from 2003-2004. In 2000, Dr. Baer was named “Young Optometrist of the Year” by his colleagues and later received the “Optometrist of the Year” award in 2004.
Outside of work, Dr. Baer enjoys hunting, fishing, golf, and spending time with his wife, Julie and two sons Tyler and Connor.
Drue A. Bahajak, O.D.
Drue Bahajak was born and raised in Middletown, PA and attended Bishop McDevitt High School. She continued her education at Lebanon Valley College in Annville, PA, earning her B.S in Biology, graduating summa cum laude. In May 2016, Dr. Bahajak graduated with honors from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, obtaining her doctor of optometry degree. While attending optometry school, she spent one of her clinical rotations at Kirman Eye, learning under the guidance of Dr. Kirman and Dr. Baer. She specializes in primary/comprehensive care, contact lenses, and ocular disease.
Currently, Dr. Bahajak is a member of Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Society, Central Pennsylvania Optometric Society, Pennsylvania Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, and Harrisburg Young Professionals.
Drue now resides in Harrisburg, PA.
Magi Labib, O.D.
Magi Labib grew up in northern New Jersey. She attended Felician College in Lodi, New Jersey, earning her B.S. in Biology, graduating summa cum laude. She continued her education at Pennsylvania College of Optometry, earning her doctorate of Optometry in May, 2014. She is an active member in the American Optometric Association, American Academy of Optometryand Central Pennsylvania Optometric Society.
Currently, Dr. Labib works full-time at the Lebanon VA Medical Center, focusing on ocular disease and low vision rehabilitation. Additionally, she works at Kirman Eye as a part-time affiliate on Saturdays. She now resides in Hummelstown with her husband, Sam, a radiology resident at the Hershey Medical Center. They enjoy art and traveling together in their spare time.
Dr. Labib is bilingual in English and Arabic.
Magi completed a clinical rotation at Kirman Eye while in optometry school and she loves working at Kirman Eye.
